DIY Parties is a registered partnership between siblings James & Abbie Aleksic, and with both parents - Julie & Nick also recently joining as partners!

James has been running JLA Sound and Light since 2013, providing full production services for a wide range of events such as theatre, concerts and parties. The roots in events came much earlier than that though, with DJ Hamster's Children's Discos being started by James when he was only 8, and still going strong under the JLA brand!​ Abbie, Julie & Nick have also been involved in with JLA Sound and Light for years, working on most children's parties as well as a number of theatre productions in various roles. 

We came up with the idea for DIY Parties during the Covid-19 lockdown, initially to help create the party atmosphere for people celebrating at home as their planned events had to be cancelled. We'd been offering equipment hire and DIY Discos for a while, but as larger events had to press pause - we knew we had to get creative to come up with a solution that works for everyone!

Our premise is really simple - we can provide pretty much everything you could need to run your party (along with full instructions and guides to help the event go smoothly), and let you do the rest! You can run the party your way, at a fraction of the cost, and have a great time doing it!

Items are available to collect from us in Ipswich, or we can deliver locally - and a lot of our packages can be delivered nationwide too! We've also got an online shop with lots of party supplies available to purchase at the best prices around.
